Internet Updates

In the last issue of TModel Reports, we told you about changes to our Internet site: email links at TModel Corporation, on-line access to TModel Reports, areas devoted to each of our software products, a current list of key Transportation Sites, as well as our TMODEL2 Users Page. All of this is to offer you better, more convenient service.

We now have an area from which you can download the following files: TMANUAL.ZIP, the TMODEL2 manual in text form; LPMANUAL.ZIP, the LPlate manual in text form; TMREADME.ZIP, TMODEL2 update information containing information on the most recent updates and superseding the manual; TM2ALL.ZIP, all TMODEL2 update files sent with the most recent update; TM2BETA.ZIP, TMODEL2 files updated after the most recent update; TM3DNA.ZIP, the most recent Beta for TMODEL3 Distribution and Assignment, containing the capability to perform Multi-Point Assignment and Upstream Queuing Propagation.

Since the new TM3DNA is developed optimally for speed using the 32-bit operating system (Windows 95 or NT), users of Windows 3.1 or 3.11 can also operate the new TM3DNA with installation of Win32s. These Win32 files can be obtained from our download files area.

Some of the files will require a password in order to unarchive them. We ask that you read our online license agreement and fill out the information form before downloading any files. The form will automatically send us an email with the information. If we see you have downloaded a file requiring a password, we will send that to you in an email message. You must have current maintenance, of course, to receive the password.

To benefit all users, we also have a discussion list you can join called tmodel-list@tmodel.com. Discussion may contain questions for TModel Corporation or comments on techniques and procedures. The list is moderated by Robert Shull, and any questions about the administration of the list should be sent to him at shullr@tmodel.com. To subscribe to the list, send an email message to listproc@wolfe.net. Leave the subject line blank. In the body of the message type "subscribe TMODEL-LIST Your Name" without the quote marks and using your own name in place of "Your Name." Be sure NOT to include anything else in the message or your request cannot be processed properly. To access the page on our Internet site describing the list and procedures in more detail, go to www.tmodel.com/discuss.html.

Links to both of these new services can be found under the heading, "Support," at www.tmodel.com. Both the discussion list and the download page are there for your use and benefit. Enjoy!
