Are you on the Information SuperHighway yet? If so, feel free to access our 14.4k baud BBS for the latest updates as well as for other information. We are constantly adding new utilities and tools to help you improve your productivity. The BBS also has current versions of virus detection software. We haven't encountered any yet, but several people who have downloaded the virus detection have.
To register as a new user, type NEW when asked for your name. When you register, please use your real name, company name, and telephone number. If you have any questions, call the Vashon office and ask for Brent or Bob. The BBS number is (206) 463-2133 standard (N,8,1).
We also provide an ASCII listing of all the files available on our BBS. This file, ALLFILES.ZIP, is located in the "public" file area and can be downloaded and viewed offline at your convenience.
When uploading and downloading files, we recommend using ZModem if your communications software supports the protocol. ZModem offers excellent error handling and error recovery with a typical throughput of 260 Chars/Sec at 2400 baud. YModem or YModem-G are the next best with XModem coming in dead last. XModem is one of the most widely used file transfer protocols but is also the oldest and slowest and has no error recovery.
If you want to use one of the higher speed protocols but your terminal software doesn't support it, download RIPTM154.EXE from our BBS in the "COM" file area. This self- unarchiving package is freeware and supports the ZModem protocol. Also, if you don't like the default log-on opening screen of this freeware, you can download TMICO.ZIP that contains our own custom display. Enjoy!
