TMODEL2 Workshop Notice

This TMODEL Standard Workshop is a 5-day course designed for any beginning modeler or one who has experience and wants to learn more about traffic simulation modeling. After an introduction to modeling theory, participants will build and use a transportation model. Novices through intermediate TMODELers or potential TMODELers will find the workshop very useful. Experienced modelers find the course useful for learning more about the many features included in TMODEL. We recommend that you have basic computer skills and experience or exposure to transportation planning is helpful. The goals of the course are to give the participants a better understanding of the theory of traffic simulation modeling, to enable them to develop technically better traffic models, and to provide methods toward more cost-effective development and application of traffic simulation models. The workshop will cover:

• the theoretical framework of modeling
• distribution and assignment runs
• data presentation
• layer files
• data needs, collection, entry and verification
• calibration theory and techniques
• alternative scenario ("what if") analyses
• traffic impact analyses
• new features now available

WORKSHOP COST - These costs cover tuition, computer use, course materials and coffee breaks. Participants are responsible for their own travel, lodging and meals. You may pay with a check, a purchase order from a government agency or with VISA or MASTERCARD. The cost of the 5-day Standard Workshop is $1,050.00. If you have current TMODEL maintenance or purchase TMODEL within 6 months after the workshop you will receive a $200 discount. Multiple registrations for the workshop from the same organization receive a $200 discount each, after the first registrant. Space restrictions allow us to accept 12 registrations for EACH workshop. TModel Corporation reserves the right to reschedule training workshops. When it is necessary to reschedule a workshop you will be notified as soon as new dates are established. Registration cancellation for the Standard Workshop must be made before April 27th for a full refund.
